Atthis

Atthis is a complete e-commerce website project developed for a beloved artist-run jewelry gallery located in one of Plaka’s quaint narrow streets. The goal was to translate a gallery-like, hospitality-driven shopping experience into a digital storefront that honors the family’s decades of expertise in curating contemporary Greek jewelry, from timeless heirloom pieces to bold new designs by the country’s finest workshops.

The website was designed entirely from scratch, with a visual identity built to feel more like a curated gallery than a conventional online shop. Structured around style guides, workshop spotlights and curated collections, the site helps visitors navigate the vast world of Greek handmade jewelry, much as Vasilis and Amanda do in person at the gallery, while giving each piece room to be appreciated as a work of art. Content was shaped to reflect the family’s voice: warm, knowledgeable and personal, carrying forward a legacy that began in 1985.

From a technical perspective, the project was built on WooCommerce with a strong emphasis on custom development. Rather than relying on off-the-shelf solutions, several bespoke plugins were developed to support the store’s specific needs, complemented by hand-crafted code snippets that replaced functionality typically requiring additional third-party plugins, keeping the site lean, fast and easier to maintain.

This custom approach extended to clean product architecture, intuitive filtering by style and craftsperson, and a smooth path from discovery to checkout. Responsive design, on-page SEO, secure payment integration and essential legal and policy pages rounded out a trustworthy, professional retail presence. The result is a polished, technically refined digital gallery that mirrors the warmth and expertise of the physical store, helping Atthis reach jewelry lovers beyond Plaka’s streets.
